Darren was asked for his predictions on smart kitchen storage for the 2011 Trend Report in the Utopia Kitchen and Bathroom Magazine.

“For 2011, the trends in kitchen furniture will be for beautiful abstract designs with contemporary clean lines. Kitchens that at first glance offer deceptively simple seamless styling yet feature hidden depths. The focus is on delivering optimum storage, cleverly designed and configured down to the last millimetre. Colours will range from continually popular monochrome, anthracite and grey pallettes, with splashes of colour added by glass doors, splashbacks and illuminated shelving. This will contrast with book matched solid wood veneers to enhance the combination of natural form with ultimate function.”
A beautiful Intuo kitchen was used to illustrate Darren’s trend predictions – see it here.

The Ewe Vida 03 was the kitchen showcased in the January 2011 issue of Utopia Kitchen and Bathroom Magazine.

This continental style kitchen provides ample storage space, while still keeping true to it’s minimalist lines. It is available in 9 gloss or matt laminate colours including cream, anthracite, cappuchino and white as well as a selection of wood laminates ranging from maple, macassar and walnut. Worktop finishes and colours include white, cream, anthracite, classic maple, olive or walnut.
All drawers and cupboards feature Blum internal fittings and 700mm tall base units.
Our design tip: Consider a contemporary splashback rather than wall tiles for your kitchen – it not only looks good, but is easier to clean too.
