Boot Rooms

As a Hampshire-based business that regularly designs bespoke kitchens for properties in rural locations, we are often asked to design the boot room cabinetry as well. What was once a borrowed space in a small snug or a vestibule now regularly takes up the space of a previous utility room. Or, in larger homes, the utility and boot room are merged to become a ‘bootility’ room that includes a ‘dirty sink’ for washing down muddy boots and laundry appliances concealed behind cabinetry doors

While immediate access to the outside is not always possible, a boot room is ideally located near a back door. We design most boot rooms in a Shaker style because it is easy to maintain and the aesthetic is clean and unfussy. However, we can design contemporary versions if required. Your boot room can also be handpainted in any colour to suit you.

Our handmade and handpainted Signature Bespoke boot room design will feature hidden storage under bench seating, with open pigeon hole storage for hats, scarves, gloves, umbrellas, dog leads, muddy shoes and of course, boots. We create wall mounted hooks to hang outerwear in smaller rooms or we install full hanging rails for coats and jackets in larger areas. We can also include top boxes for sports equipment such as equestrian or cycling helmets and we can also include drawers and baskets for additional storage.

Boot rooms are often designed around wall-mounted boilers and fuse boxes. We design beautiful bespoke cabinetry to cover the less appealing elements in the room and to maximise storage wherever possible.

If you are considering converting a room to a boot room, then please talk to us about your requirements and we will create a space-efficient design for you.
